    RestartSailing Remote Sailing League

    Over the summer we have been developing and trialing a new format, where sailors race at their local clubs. Using GPS tracker data we merge the results together from across all participating venues, taking into account course conditions and individual times, in effect to give a dynamic handicap for the boat, course and conditions. Over the 100+ races run, the results have been very encouraging and have given sailors a sense of purpose and engagement

    Gorey Regatta goes ahead - under the social distancing guidelines

    The 163rd Logicalis Gorey Regatta will go ahead on 11/12 July, albeit adapted to meet the demands of social distancing. Competing boats will either be sailed single-handed or crewed by members of the same household. Only the larger yachts, where social distancing can be enforced, will be able to have 'mixed' crews from different households.
